Doesnt work. You need to undo what ever you did cause its not understanding anything I say.

Ads are now intrusive both in line and framed also make a performance hit while mobile. Ads are also the low quality click bait variety where promise in title is not delivered. App deleted. Too bad about Merriam Webster now a degraded brand

At one time a very good app. Now a waste of time. Rarely if ever is this app capable of responding to voice demand. If fixed it can be once again a good dictionary. But,it would also need to expand its word search!

Apple says its updated but it will not open.

Was able to text others the "word of the day." Now I can only email it. PLEASE bring back the TEXTING ability! JFM

This used to be the best app, that is until you updated it now the voice portion does not work. Please fix it.

Im not sure whats going on with this app but after the last update I cant use it and cant delete it. Extremely disappointed. Moving on to Dictionary.coms app, a better app and a better experience.

Used to be a great application until the update and all the advertisements now. Oh and now mine crashed and I cant uninstall it. Ha

Its not worth a crap

So lately M-W has been turning to ads for additional revenue. However, Taboola ads?! 4 of them when I look up EACH word? Im better off using the Google app or Siri. Shame...this app is looking like Yahoo: Full of Ads and less appealing after each update.

This app used to be great! But now, like many others have said, is nothing but ads. I think Im going to screenshot my list of favorite words then delete this app.

I mic do not work anymore. We used it all the time. It never seems to understand what you say.

The app need two things: 1- Please fix the microphone 2- Includes the auto word suggestion instead just showing "no such word"

This stupid app has been loading for a week now. Its frozen. I cannot delete it nor can I do anything else with it. Please fix this piece of crap.

This seemed like it would be a great dictionary app (who doesnt recognize Merriam-Webster?), but every single time I would use it there would be a new pop-up ad. As a free app, I would have been fine with ONE pop-up ad when you first open the app, but even after I opened it there was a popup ad for each word I wanted to look up. So annoying! I have deleted this app and will find something better.

Suggestion: add the word “America” to the dictionary.

The app is extremely slow. Even to load one page from another, to to jump to another word. The scrolling is very bad too, even on my iPhone 6s Plus. Makes it practically impossible to use without being extremely frustrated. Also, the interface is difficult to navigate through. I would think Merriam Webster would have a much better app.

There is no denying that this is a great app, but you guys must do something about the ads. Now its quite annoying!

If you are reading this, thinking about the app: DONT DO IT! When I first got it, the word selection paralleled the printed version. Now its just another corporate cockup that sold out for ad space. When they dont even recognize unimpressed, you have a problem. I expected much more from such a trusted name. Dont waste your time with the $3.99 version either. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
