Love using the dictionary for learning

Important ,it is focused on more explaination than more examples

Great app for learning don’t take away our free subscription away tho

I like this app because it’s easy to use and helps me find the definition of a word quickly. Especially, when I am reading something and that a specific word comes up and I don’t know its meaning.

Very enjoyable app.

I couldn’t find all the words that start with a I like I can’t find the list of the alphabets to go through each letter like A B C on the app

It gives off so much information about everything, I suggest you get the app!!

I frequently get a paywall for definitions of scholarly words. I like Webster, it’s just weird that the app is worse than the free website. Use the dictionary.com app if you want a full access dictionary.

This dictionary app is not for families. There Were pornography ads on the screen with the dictionary definition of the word! Appalling!

Bought this when it was paid, then they made it free and subscription based. Pretty fraudulent.

It seems like some online dictionaries have scaled back on the information they provide. MW is better than a very popular one that shall remain nameless but needs more in depth etymology. It gives good examples of the primary form of a word (usually noun or verb) but often overlooks examples of the less popular alternative forms(verbs, adverbs, adjectives, etc.). I realize this is meant as a quick reference for the modern lifestyle, but for those of us who love words each bot of information raises new questions that can entertain us for hours.

Easily access for the learners and also updated words and expressions can be studied whenever we need.

I looked up the word custodian and it showed me the definition and under it was a grown women’s upper half no shirt no bras

I love it! Simple as that.

I find the inclusion of “History and Etymology” after the definitions and use cases, so helpful to really understand meaning of words by gaining insight no their origin. Excellent. The depth of research and collaborative effort is really impressive. Of course, simple definitions are also readily available.

This is the most handy app you can have on your phone! I love the fact that I can look up any word I need to, whether it’s on the dictionary side or the thesaurus side & it will give me the definition along with multiple other ways it can be used. I use it quite often & I appreciate the fact that it’s even available. I like the games on there… it helps me expand, not only my vocabulary, but my imagination as well.

This App tries to hijack your phone with a full page add you must close the App to avoid opening. I dislike that and I’m dumping this App.

I just bought premium version. There are a lot of words not included. I couln’t find stackyard. Yet, I did an internet search. I found stackyard at Merriam-webster.com.

Been super helpful and fast!

I have the paid subscription version of this app to eliminate ads and it still pops up sometimes asking if I want to go ad free. The whole point of paying the subscription is so I don’t have to deal with pop ups…

The Miriam-Webster dictionary is my preferred choice of dictionary. It has been in existence since 1841 and is constantly updated.

So much potential, yet full page ads for the worst business Temu. Ironic to be an app to grow the brain while taking money to destroy the planet. Barf.

Crashing on iPhone 12

They made a good app to learn us. Simple and easy to use interface with helpful features like links to articles or word-of-the-day. I find the bookmark function useful in saving words I learn while reading so that I can later make flash cards. Would recommend. (Also, shout out to the real Gs that get the reference in the title 👌)

When the X pops up it takes me clicking on the X several times to get back to the dictionary. Sometimes it’s takes 0 or so clicks on the X. Like app and don’t like the clicking on the X.
